I love exploring with a variety of flavors and creating strangely delicious dishes. I’m almost sure that the confusion with this dish is what clearly makes it so yum, and you can choose to serve it as a starter or a dessert.
Honey, turmeric and cayenne pepper all contain health properties such as anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial and anti-fungal.
Melon is very hydrating, high in fiber, potassium and B-carotene.
Pumpkin seeds are high in zinc, magnesium, copper, manganese and fiber.
Ingredients (serves 8-10)
1 melon (Cantaloupe) ½ packet blue rock cheese (50g) 4 tablespoons roasted pumpkin seeds 2 tablespoons raw honey 1 tablespoon warm water 1 teaspoon turmeric ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper Salt
Method
1 Slice the melon into thin half-moon-shaped strips, removing the seeds and placing onto a flat platter. 2 Mix the honey, water, turmeric, cayenne pepper, salt together forming a spiced-honey drizzle. 3 Break chunks of blue cheese over the melon and sprinkle over the pumpkin seeds. 4 Drizzle the spiced-honey over the dish.
